The Historical Society of Cheboygan County Inc., invites you to visit the Cheboygan County Historical Museum Complex.

Located at Huron and Court Streets in Cheboygan, the County Seat, the complex consists of four buildings which house artifacts and historic exhibits of the past.  The grounds also display the Memorial Rose Garden and beautiful perennial gardens planted and maintained by the local Seedums Garden Club.

  • Settler's Log Cabin originally located on Burt Lake in a local Indian Village
  • The Cheboygan County Sheriff Residence constructed in 1882 with attached jail cells
  • The New Jail addition built in 1912 - 14 
  • Spies Heritage Hall, dedicated in 1997, providing additional exhibit space

 

Open from Memorial Day through September

Meetings are at 7:00 on the third Monday of each month at Spies Heritage Hall 06/15/09; 07/20/09; 08/17/09; 09/21/09. September 21 is the annual meeting with election of board members.. All society members may vote.
